The project includes renovations and an addition to a shuttered three-level elementary school building in Niles, Illinois. Renovations to the 1920s school with a 1950 addition include occupancy changes, room reconfigurations and openings in load bearing masonry walls. The addition, a 1,200 SF Entry Vestibule has a large canopy for student drop off, and an elevator. At the former service side of the building, the 17 foot tall vestibule creates a welcoming entry to the repurposed building. The project is scheduled to open in August 2023.
